About

Mike graduated from Merrimack College in 2006, where he majored in political science, and has covered Merrimack College sports, as well as professional, collegiate, and local Merrimack Valley sports for The Eagle Tribune since Sept. 2006. He has also contributed to www.collegehockeynews.com since March 2006.
Mike grew up in Melrose, Mass. and now resides in North Andover with his wife, Kristin, and their energetic pug Goombah.
If you want to know more about Mike’s view on hockey — he longs for the days of Vezina winners with goals-against averages of 3.50 and save percentages of .880. He thinks dropping the gloves should be rewarded instead of penalized, and finally, he still loves to call hockey jerseys “sweaters” even though they are not even close to that anymore.
